It is a lot harder to make your own videogame than it is to make a board game. You either need programming skills or need to know how to use a computer well and probably even need to go to school for it. There are places that will teach you how to make a game online but they will be pretty basic. If you want to make your own game, its is probably easier to start with something that isn't quite as difficult as a video game. If you really want to make one though, look at the free sites that offer mini game makers.

How to make your own tag game...

If you want to make your own game like tag or hide and go seek, all you need to do is come up with the rules. You can decide how high the person counts, if people are supposed to hide or just run around and if the leader can shout commands like "freeze" or not. This is a great way to make up a game because you can always change the rules if you don't like the way the game turned out.

There are a lot of other types of games too. You can make your own crossword puzzle, word search or other type of writing game. You can make your own math or history game if you are practicing for school projects. The easiest way to make your own game is by thinking of one you already love to play.
